Desert House Mercy, Overview & Engineering Scope

The team provided comprehensive Plumbing Engineering construction documents for a 10,000 SF commercial development consisting of three buildings. The scope of work included detailed gas pipe sizing calculations, an isometric diagram, and a scaled site plan clearly identifying the project location and gas meter placement. Floor and roof plans were developed to document all appliance types, locations, and associated gas piping. A one-line gas pipe sizing diagram was provided, outlining branch pipe lengths, second-stage regulators (if applicable), and Btu/hr input ratings for each appliance.

Additionally, the design accounted for the total developed length of the gas piping system from the meter or LPG tank to the most remote appliance, ensuring proper pressure and flow. Gas pipe materials were specified, indicating whether they were underground, within building walls, or routed along the roof. Support methods and spacing requirements were detailed to ensure structural integrity. Venting and combustion air provisions were addressed to maintain safety and code compliance. The comprehensive design package provided a clear and efficient layout for the gas distribution system, optimizing functionality and adherence to industry standards.
